The Miami-born Cuban-American Actress and Host, Maria Felipe's irrepressible personality has earned her industry-wide recognition. Her outgoing and charming personality has captivated thousands of viewers across the United States and beyond. Maria Felipe's dream to become a successful actress and television personality has been achieved due to her dedication and strong work ethic.

Maria's career began as a model at age 17 when she was chosen as one of the ten finalists out of 10,000 entrants in YM magazine's Cover Girl contest. She was flown to New York, met supermodels Nikki Taylor and Tyra Banks and was featured in YM's 1994 September issue. This opportunity started the ball rolling for Maria's successful career, and she has appeared in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Vanidades, Hispanic Business, Ocean Drive, YM, Latina, Cristina and People En Espanol – one of the leading magazines in the nation.

Maria's charm and personality quickly moved beyond print work. At age 18 she became the host of Juegos Nucturnos, a dating game, and De Noche, a musical show which was filmed in Las Vegas and provided Maria with additional exposure to different markets. In De Noche, she presented many musical artists, including internationally-known singer, Ricky Martin. Her national exposure as host gained momentum and she was soon hired to serve as the Miami reporter for the entertainment show, Hollywood DF. It was there that Maria had the opportunity to interview such well known singers as Shakira as well as famous imitator Julio Sabala.

Soon after, her career as a host for television skyrocketed and Maria had the opportunity to audition for Los Super Astros produced by the World Wrestling Federation. Maria's talent and charm won out over 300 other candidates who also auditioned for the job She was chosen to host the national popular weekly wrestling show which aired on Univision, one of the leading Hispanic networks in the country. By this time, Maria had gained fame and recognition due to all that she had accomplished by the age of 21.

Maria Felipe made history when she was hired as the First Latin Women Boxing Announcer and interviewer for Champions of Boxing, which was streamed live from Las Vegas every week over the world wide web. Her ability to broadcast these fights in both English and Spanish was a further testament to her resourcefulness and talent.

Maria continued in this stream of networking by hosting Miami Fight Night, along with Al Bernstein. This program was a series of fights that were taped live at the American Airlines Arena in Miami and it was here that she had the exclusive opportunity to interview the Golden Boy himself, Oscar De La Hoya.

Her continued success and recognition led her to also find opportunities in television commercials, both on a national and an international basis. Some of her commercials include Denny's, Mc Donald's, Pizza-Hut and Chili's Restaurants, First Union, Sears, Lactaid, MCI, Title Loans, Coca-Cola, Mosto Fruit Juice, Lipton, Bellsouth, Kmart and Home Depot.

Maria's success in modeling and her larger-than-life persona continued to give her recognition in the TV, Film and Music Video Industry. The charming model, actress, and host appeared on national television shows which aired on major networks such as Telemundo and Univision. Some of the shows where she served as a model, actress amd host were Sabado Gigante, Lente Loco, Cristina Show, Primer Impacto, Republica Deportiva, and Entertainment Tonight.

However, nothing is impossible for this 5'9 Cuban American sexy charmer and Maria has been a part of the film world as well. In 1996, wanting to experience how a film is made, she decided to work as an extra in the movie, The Pest. Actor Jon Leguizamo recognized her talent immediately and chose her to appear in the movie. She went on to play the role of Yoly in the film, Street Survival.

People magazine referred to Maria as ''Una Campeona Sin Rival,'' which means a champion without a rival. This has become the hallmark quote to identify the determination and success of this young, vivacious and incredibly talented actress and host.
